Sri Vaishnava Ashram
Ashram is a mini replica of a temple that provides spiritual solace, learning and training, protection from subtle negative forces, cure for physical and mental diseases, and enlightenment for those in the spiritual pursuit. Sri Vaishnavites have been pioneers in setting up Sri Vaishnava ashrams and these centres are designated as “Matams” in case of mendicants’ abode and devotees’ centre as ‘Sri Ramanuja Kootams’, the missionaries attributing the service to the system of the great preceptor Sri Ramanujacharya.
Ashram is a place of perennial sanctity established and developed by the installation and worship of the Supreme, preceptors and votaries. In addition to being a source and reservoir of spiritual energy, these ashrams offer shelter, food and other facilities to the needy and downtrodden.
The trust has set up ashrams and offices at Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Varanasi and other centres for public and spiritual service.
The trust is planning to establish more such ashrams to perpetuate the divine grace to those who by themselves cannot realize or relish the same at their homes due to lack of austerity, sanctity and piety.
Ashram also celebrates all the important occasions such as birthday of the holy saints and seers, festivals and even memorable events of the members and their families, with a spiritual base and purpose. Regular day to day rituals are being performed with utmost reverence by the appropriate staff that leads to the downpour of the divine mercy.
