Organizing Free Divyadesa Yatra
The trust, for almost a decade, regularly organizes annual, bi-annual and quarterly spiritual tours to various Vaishnava enshrinements. The trust always recognizes and supports financially poor Vaishnavites and Bhagavathas, who are earnest about touring to Divya Desams. The trust sponsors pilgrimage tours, not only making adequate arrangements for travel and accommodation, but also arranges for free nutritious and delicious vaishnavite meals and other comforts. On special occasions, the trust has also obliged requests to sponsor trips for the convalescent and senile, where special travel arrangements were made.
Mega fully sponsored tours are arranged on a biannual basis to Vaishnavite shrines in Nepal usually consists of 70+ people and at least one annual trip to Northern parts of India covering Vaishnavite shrines.
Apart from this, the trust regularly sponsors number of short trips to cover Divya desams in Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and innumerable short trips (One or two days) to cover about four or five temples in the vicinity to participate in concerned temple festivals .
In the interest of the Vaishnavites in North India, the trust also organized free tours from North India to cover more than 60 temples in South India.
The North India Divya Desa Yatra (completely sponsored) organized in 2006 costed the trust an amount of Rs.6 Lacs. In fact most of the mega yatras organized are to the tune of Rs.6-8 Lacs.
As a further step, the trust, in 2007-2008, organized for a tour from Nepal, sponsoring Nepali Vaishnavites and Pandits (about 75 of them) to cover about 90 Divya Desams in India for a period of nearly 30 days, costing the trust about Rs.15 Lacs.
It is to be noted that this venture is done purely on a philanthropic basis without commercial attitude and monetary contributions received for the tour from affluent members will be used towards sponsorship of deserving Vaishnavites.
